SUMMER PLANS

MCAT Prep

Summer is the perfect time to focus on preparation for the MCAT exam. Ray has an unparalleled knowledge of the science material required for success on the MCAT. He even scored a perfect 15 on the physical science section when he took the test himself! Call now to develop a study plan for this critical test.

High School Test Prep

Summer, when school demands are not so pressing, is a great time to work on test prep. Taking time to prepare for the fall administrations of the ACT and SAT can put juniors ahead of the game for the demanding year ahead, and can help seniors to achieve that final terrific score to round out their college applications.

Summer Skills for Elementary and Middle School Students

Younger students often need ongoing review and practice to maintain their forward momentum in math skills development. Ray provides fun and effective sessions that help students to preserve and imporve last year's skills while previewing and preparing for next year.

High School and College Skill Building and Fall Preview

Many students work with Ray over the break to consolidate and maintain skills from the previous year, and to preview coursework for the upcoming year. For example, students who found themselves struggling in the final weeks or months of algebra can work with Ray to transform any weaknesses in algebra while preparing for the new challenges to be expected in pre-calculus. Or a pre-med student who is concerned about organic chemistry can work with Ray to solidify general chemistry skills and knowledge and preview upcoming organic chemistry topics. Targeted intervention at such critical transitions can help students to maintain their momentum and prevent the derailing of college and career ambitions.

Summer School

Summer school math and science courses are much faster paced and more intense than they are during the school year. While summer school provides the perfect opportunity to focus exclusively on a single subject, the danger exists that a student may quickly fall behind and find it difficult to catch up in such a compressed time frame. Students and parents who are contemplating summer school can rest assured that Ray will provide the additional support needed during this fast and focused time. Summer students typically start with Ray a week or two before class begins to preview material and provide for a smooth transition to summer coursework.
